appletrailerfs 0.3.2.1-beta Released / Fixes Movie Trailer Playback Problem

A new version of appletrailerfs has been released. appletrailerfs brings you the Apple movie trailers to the Western Digital TV HD and your PC.

This version fixes the download problem that occurred with the movie trailers in the last few days. All users should upgrade because, well, it probably doesn’t work otherwise anymore =)

The WDTV application image is available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/appletrailerfs/files/Western%20Digital%20TV%20HD%20Images/appletrailerfs-0.3.2.1-beta-wdtv/appletrailerfs-0.3.2.1-beta-wdtv.zip/download.
As always, to use this you need ext3-boot or WDLXTV and you must copy all files from the downloaded ZIP file to your USB boot stick.
If you don’t want to use the GUI modifications just delete the file appletrailerfs.app.event from your USB boot stick.

All project files can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=259619.

For future developments and time frames have a look at the roadmap.

  1. I have used the previous version of appletrailerfs without any problem with WDLXTV 0.5.5 however I can’t seem to get this latest version to work with 0.5.6.1. All looks good however when I select a certain movie and trailer (in various quality) i see a black screen. No green trailer screen will be visable and I can’t wait for ages but no trailer starts. This has worked with previous versions. Any ideas what to do? A resend of the system didn’t help. Also unplug the power cable didn’t help.

I use RSS & Weather application that works also the YouTube worked for some time.

  2. Can you please post the appletrailerfs.log file from your USB Stick after you tried to play a trailer?
