Hello Elmar,

I´m recently using your great Application. But I´ve got a issue with the osd I guess...the menu which is in this Screenshot shown does not appear:
http://appletrailerfs.elmarweber.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/appletrailerfs_wdtv_main_menu.png

I just did it as everyone said...put everything on the usb stick and powercycle the wd tv live ( I´m currently using 1.02.21_B-RAD.CC_WDLXTV_LIVE-0.4.2.0 ). Also I really don´t know if i installed appletrailerfs on the wd because it also did not appear under : IpAdress.of.my.wdtv/addons . Changing the config file has also no impact...( wanted to remove the small, large and 420p trailers )

Thank you :)

Thanks, it's fixed in SVN, there was a problem with the datatype (for the interested: size_t instead of off_t for filesize).

Hi sdvv,

to make sure we have the same source files, can you post the JSON file you use for testing? I'll test if I can reproduce the problem.

ciao,

Hi Elmar,

Could you please double check if the 2gb filesize limitation is fixed (with a real example)?
I compiled from trunk and it still reports max 2gb on files.

Thanks!

Hi Elmar,

I must say that the latest release is pretty nice! One minor thing though - for us tvix users - is that the icons won't be displayed as such but rather as files to view. So I'm asking for a slight modification for the tvix community if possible.

What we need is a file named icon.tvix in the folders where we want it to show the trailers as icons rather than in a list. So my question to you is if you can add a switch to the command line to add such files in all folders? And, optionally, a switch to turn off the jpg files if you don't want to use icon mode?

Let me know what you think.

Hi,

I just checked it and the content-length field was read as an integer from the JSON file. It's fixed in the subversion repository, so you have to recompile it from there for the opentvix platform.

As a general note, if someone can post a build script for the opentvix environment I can publish a version for it as well as soon as a new release is out. This way you always have the latest version available.

I also read something about high CPU usage and memory consumption for the opentvix. The new cache mode uses 4 MB cache by default, this can be reduced by setting STREAM_IO_BUFFER_SIZE during compilation. CPU usage should be a little lower than direct-io. However, when the buffer runs out the CPU usage is a little higher.

ciao,

Thanks for the new release!

I have a question:
Does appletrailerfs have a 2gb filesize limitation?
I'm trying to get this to work correctly on my tvix, but the filesize is reported invalid (exactly 2gb).
See http://forum.opentvix.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=329&p=2211#p2211 for my situation.

I'm not sure if it's a FUSE or appletrailerfs limitation.

Thanks in advance for your answer!
