Hi Markus,

as already mentioned, it’s not a lack of financial resources (in fact if I had less financial resources, i.e. work, I’d have finished this already =). If you want to donate money spend it for Haiti or something, but there won’t be a new version any faster because of it =)

In general it should be relatively easy to port appletrailerfs to the WDTV Live. Anyone who knows how to compile stuff and create application images should be able to do it. Ask in the WDTV Forum, there are a lot of bright people who are able (but are pressed for time as well I guess).

Currently I’d say mid to end February until I have time, given the current project lifts off, I’ll be in Hotels in the evening, thus have a lot of time on my hand without access to any of the stuff that currently distracts me.

Hi Elmar,

I am desperately waiting for a WDLXTV-Live version of the appletrailerfs! Watching the Apple trailers was my main intention to buy that stuff. Unfortunately I made a last minute change on my decision and ordered the WDTV with network support, not aware, that this WDTV is not supported by your app. Is there anything we (your appletrailerfs community) can do to make you this app working on the WDTV-Live?
I have seen a lot of posts but very rare feedback on it…
If it is a lack of financial resources pleeeease state – how the community can help!

Sorry, no idea regarding the Dolby Digital issue. I’m using the integrated decoder of the WDTV via HDMI and that works like a charm with the trailes. Since I doubt the receiver has a problem with the decoding, it’s probably the combination mov file + DD (mov is the format for Apple Trailers). There were some combinations that the WDTV did not support to forward correctly via the digital audio output.

Still having the problem with tailers with Dolby Digital… Using an Onkyo receiver, too, but I just can’t get these trailer with sound, so I have to watch the “large” trailers without Dolby Digital. Any idea how to resolve this problem?
